China’s Mars probe Tianwen-1 successfully landed at its pre-selected landing area in the southern part of Utopia Planitia at 7:18 am. on May 15, 2021 (BeijingTime), marking the first time that China has landed a probe on a planet other than Earth, leaving a Chinese footprint on Mars for the first time.
The surveillance camera lens developed by MLOptic has also been successfully used in the remote sensing camera for the landing of Mars probe Tianwen-1. This series of cameras play an important role in recording the landing process of Tianwen-1 on Mars. Two parachute opening surveillance cameras have started working before parachute opening, recording and witnessing the perfect blooming moment of parachute.
